Scandalous Finish: Misfits Boxing 007 Match Earns KSI a Controversial Win Over Joe Fournier

Joe Fournier was furious at being beat out in the Misfits Boxing 007 bout with his second-round knockout, all because of an illegal elbow. After the controversial boxing move from KSI, he was quick to voice his anger on his Instagram account.

Fournier calls corruption, knowing the odds were stacked against him as he was “fighting the promoter”. He takes down KSI, Misfits Boxing and the Professional Boxing Association in his post. The boxer is appalled a knockout was called, rather than a disqualification. His intent to appeal the decision, determined for the illegal elbow jab by KSI to be punished, was clearly no empty threat. 

He has named both competitor KSI and promoter Misfit in his appeal to the PBA. The document states that both the boxer and KSI will know whether his win over Joe Fournier remains legitimate before Friday the 19th of May.

KSI appeared devastated to have the boxing authorities question whether his attack of Fournier with an elbow warranted a disqualification, putting a damper on his Misfits 007 victory. 

KSI lays the blame on the boxer, claiming that  “Joe clinched me and fell into me.” He’s shattered that the win isn’t clean like he wanted, after training to box for such a long time. 

While being interrogated on whether Fournier’s claims of KSI delivering an “intentionally illegal” shot were true, the YouTuber becomes clearly shocked at these extreme accusations. He explains that his KO came from hitting him with an overhand, and then finishing with a short right hook as Joe fell.

KSI’s fellow YouTuber and business partner Jake Paul (Brother of Logan Paul) was full of opinions on whether his MMA style moves warranted a legal KO in the second round. 

Another tweet launches accusations towards England Boxing for not satisfactorily ensuring their fighting is kept safe and legal, alongside demanding the PBA start holding their sport to a much higher standard.

KSI’s fanbase are turning after witnessing his poor sportsmanship, and the points made from Jake Paul are echoed in their opinions as they conclude he greatly benefits from game manipulation.

Will KSI rematch Joe Fournier? Who is KSI’s next fight?

It’s safe to assume we’ll hear nothing about a rematch until the PBA have reached their decision. While KSI may not be joining the WWE anytime soon, it’s safe to assume he’ll keep up his boxing momentum which began in 2018 against YouTuber Joe Weller.

KSI’s next fight may not yet be officially been announced, but there are many believing the YouTuber will square up against Tommy Fury soon, seeing if KSI can earn another win against a professional boxer.

Tommy Fury stormed up to the YouTuber who’d just left the ring after controversially defeating Joe Fournier at Wembley Arena. KSI was still on a success high, boasting about his tactics to a screaming crowd, the interview saying “that’s about as loud as I’ve ever heard a venue.”

The interviewer asks what’s next following KSI’s controversial win over Joe Fournier. The question may have answered itself with Tommy Fury confidently strolling into the ring, the roars of his potential competitor’s fans not scaring the boxer away.

KSI immediately launches into threats, sharing how driven he is to land a win against Fury, something fellow YouTuber Jake Paul wasn’t able to do. It was only a few months ago that the younger Paul brother was defeated in Saudi Arabia, proving that Fury’s wrath is something to watch out for.
